Unlucky 13

Hiya!
Sorry that I haven't posted lately! Life is busy 'round these parts.  The days keep going by…10th, 11th, 12th, 13th.  Which brings me to the reason for this post.  Today is Friday the 13th.  The famous unlucky day.   Why does everyone think so???
13 is the unlucky number.  Some buildings don't have 13th floors. Some hotels don't have rooms numbered 13.  Civilization is terrified at this perfectly normal number.  And why? Who knows!?! I sure don't.  In fact, I was talking to some folks the other day about Friday the 13th and one girl said that 13 was actually her lucky number! 
So this leads me to the conclusion that 13 was just chosen by humankind to be "unlucky".  I never really have negative experiences with the number 13.  So don't be afraid of 13.
