I Love Purple Elephants (and MLK)

Hey!
The title of this post may sound like complete nonsense but it's true.  I really do love purple elephants.
And here's a picture of one.  This one is a kind of drawing thingy-mabob, but it's cute! There are two reasons for this post.  One, I had a pic of a Purple Elephant that I found, and I wanted to post it.  The other one is that I wanted to ask you if you ever liked something for absolutely no reason at all.  Because that's the way purple elephants are with me.  I just like them for no reason at all.  Which is cool.  Oh, that just gave me an idea.  Why don't I make a list of the things that I like for no reason at all, and you can make yours in Comments!  Here goes:

1. Purple Elephants, of course!
2. Colored Sticky Notes
3. Daybeds
4. Windowsills

OK, that's not very much.  But I have reasons for most of the things I like.  These are the select few that I don't have reasons for.  So yeah, that was mostly what I wanted to say.  But I have forgotten! It's Martin Luther King Jr. Day! So now I have to talk about that!

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. (I'm getting a little tired of writing that out, so it's MLK) Google has issued a Google Doodle, one of those things where Google changes itself for a day (I love them!) Here it is. I'm not going to go into detail about MLK much, but I will supply some facts about him, if you want to say something smart while having a conversation or whatever.   MLK wasn't born with the name Martin.  He was born Michael, but changed his name.  I personally didn't know that, so if you did consider yourself ahead of me in that respect.  MLK also graduated from high school early, at the age of 15.  He had four children, as you should know (it says it right there on the picture, people) and one of them was named Martin Luther King, III! I guess that name must have been pretty liked by the family.

And that brings an end to today's post.  If you want to know more, click on the Google Doodle and then click on one of the links.  Have a great holiday!
