Next, We Have New Year's!

Hi!
People have probably noticed that it's almost New Year's.  We are finally graduating from 2011 and are ready to move on to 2012.  It feels kind of weird to me, when I think about it, because I still feel like 2010 has just ended.  But I'm getting used to the idea.
I've been thinking more about this particular year, 2012, more than just the usual "Aaah! How could it be the next year already!" stuff.  Because of the ancient Mayans.  It's all their fault that half the population is entertaining the idea that the world is going to end on December 12, 2012.  And they're just saying it because their friends watched the movie "2012" or something.  Nobody even knows the real truth!  Because let's face it.  I really don't think the world is going to just, you know, stop just because the Mayans said so.  Anyway, they might not have even predicted it.  It might just be modern fault.  And 12/20/2012 was just the end of the Mayan's "Long Count" cycle.  They thought the earth might "renew" itself.  Ha.  I mean, how is that going to happen?  I  don't mean to be offensive, though.  You can believe what you want to believe.  This is just my opinion.  It's my blog, after all.
